Preston Fields received his Ph.D. in Education from UCLA and spent more than 14 years working as a counselor. He is a passionate and dedicated professional, and for over seven years has privately tutored elementary through high school students in mathematics, psychology, and English, as well as in PSAT, SAT, ACT, and CAHSEE preparation. He has had a great deal of success helping students achieve higher class grades and improved standardized test scores, increasing their chances of admission into their choice colleges. Based on his professional and educational background, Preston is qualified to conduct an evaluation of a student’s strengths and challenges and to develop a customized educational plan, particularly for a student who struggles with a learning disability. Input from the student's parents is critical and integrated into the tutoring lessons as well. The student’s progress is then assessed throughout the tutoring relationship. Preston also specializes in assisting students to manage test anxiety, as well as to develop more effective study, time management, and organizational skills and methods.
