I grew up outside of Philadelphia and attending the University of Pennsylvania for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I ended up teaching there for five years before moving to Brooklyn where I have taught for two years. I believe that every student can learn and understand through exploration and investigation and that memorization has its place but is not a panacea for education. The students I teach daily are challenged to think, explore, and explain their findings in order to become life-long learners. I have a passion for this type of pedagogy.
In my free time I enjoy exploring wherever I live by going to parks, museums, and the like. I love to travel and have visited over 30 countries in the world.
